OA special thanks to all our dancers, friends and family for their efforts in our fundraising for the Race for the Cure in Central Park, NYC, Sept. 25, 2005. These "steps" made by our dancers are some of the most important they'll ever take -- we had a wonderful day of "Stepping for a Cure" and raised an amazing $6,749! |

Our dancers performed at the Great Irish Fair in New York in September. We also got to meet Gov. George Pataki and New York Senator Marty Golden. |

| "Trinity" television show (NBC)
Our dancers, Terri and Eileen, had a great time with Maureen and John on the set of the short-lived NBC drama, "Trinity." They enjoyed meeting and working with stars such as Justin Lewis, Jill Clayburg and Tate Donovan. |

| Each year our Academy takes part in the Ellis Island National Medal of Honor award ceremony. We represent Irish culture. |

| Trinity Dance Troupe |
| We were very proud to have one of our dancers make a "guest appearance" on stage with the world famous Trinity Dance Troupe on their national tour. |
| Shea Stadium,
New York
Every August we plan a school outing to see the Mets at Shea Stadium. Our school performs for their Irish Night every year and we are thrilled to dance on the field. We enjoyed meeting the Mets players and Mr. Met himself! To view a short movie of a recent performance at Shea Stadium, Click Here. |

| It was a trip to the courts for our dancers to perform for the St. Patrick's party! We loved performing in an actual courtroom, and meeting and performing for the Honorable Barrie Robinson, the Consul General for the Republic of Ireland, Howard Golden, our Brooklyn Borough President, and Charles Hynes, our District Attorney. |

We love to march on our home turf ... especially in our local St. Patrick's Day parades every year! |

We are proud to be a part of the Bay Ridge Parade and the Brooklyn Day Parade, where we were the winners of the Best Marching Group! In March 2001, our dancers marched in the Park Slope St. Patrick's Day Parade with our director, Maureen O'Malley-Byrnes, as Aide to the Grand Marshal. |
| Great Irish Fair, Coney Island Coney "Ireland" USA! Every September we look forward to performing to a hometown crowd at one of the largest Irish festivals around! |

| Irish Dancing Magazine
Irish Dancer magazine featured some of our dancers on the front cover of one of their issues. The picture was taken at the historic landmark, Mohonk Mountain House, in upstate New York where the girls performed. |

| Celebrities
We have had the honor of meeting many famous people and celebrities. One of our dancers got a photo taken with former television talk show host, Phil Donahue. |

the famous comedian, as well as Jerry Stiller -- famous from "Seinfeld." |

We also got to meet soap opera actress, Susan Lucci!

| I
feel at times that it is easy to lose sight of what Irish dance is all about.
It is there to remind us of who we are and where we come from, to help us
take pride in our Celtic heritage and to promote our culture to the world.
After that,
everything else is secondary! |
